Description

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is seeking a contractor to provide high-performance RF specialty connectors for use in the design and assembly of a parallel receive array dedicated to brain imaging applications. The selected RF connectors must ensure low insertion loss and minimal signal reflection, high-frequency performance compatible with the system’s operating frequency, reliable mechanical integrity under repeated connection cycles, and a compact form factor suitable for dense array layouts. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to perform the required services. • The contractor is expected to perform all services within 1 business day of pre-scheduled delivery of services. • The contractor must remove any debris from the location once unloading is complete. • The Government reserves the right to exercise options in accordance with FAR 52.217-9, Option to Extend the Term of the Contract. • The contract type is Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP).

Budget estimate

$100,000 – $500,000

The budget for this opportunity is not explicitly stated in the document. However, considering the requirements and the fact that it's a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract, we can estimate the budget based on the complexity and the scope of the project. The project requires high-performance RF specialty connectors for brain imaging applications, which suggests a high level of technical expertise and specialized equipment. Assuming the contract duration is approximately 1 year, and considering the costs of labor, materials, and equipment, a rough estimate for the budget could be between $100,000 and $500,000. This estimate is based on the assumption that the contractor will need to provide high-quality connectors, and the Government will require a significant amount of testing and validation to ensure the connectors meet the required standards. Factors that may influence the likely payment range include the complexity of the project, the number of connectors required, and the level of testing and validation needed.
