Description

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is seeking support for the readout development of superconducting two-dimensional multiplexer (2dMUX) arrays based on SQUID technology. The selected individual will have deep expertise in readout of Transition-Edge Sensor arrays using SQUID-based 2dMUXs and other test articles. The support includes developing software to implement the readout of advanced circuits with existing and to-be-developed electronics hardware. Key aspects of the job include: • Leading the readout development of 2dMUX arrays • Developing software for readout of advanced circuits • Working with existing ground support equipment for multiplexing detector signals and associated hardware for thermometry and control of cryogenic systems • Supporting the “Advancing Scalability of Far-IR Transition-Edge Sensor Arrays” ROSES/SAT project

Budget estimate

$200,000 – $500,000

The budget for this opportunity is difficult to estimate as the document does not provide a specific amount. However, considering the scope of the project, which includes support for the readout development of superconducting two-dimensional multiplexer arrays and software development, the budget could be substantial. The fact that the project is funded by NASA and involves advanced technology suggests that the budget could be in the range of $200,000 to $500,000. This estimate is based on the assumption that the project will require significant expertise and resources.
