Description
The County of San Luis Obispo is seeking a consultant to develop a Non-De Minimis Metering Program for the San Luis Obispo Valley Basin. The program aims to facilitate consistent and reliable reporting of groundwater extraction volumes from non-de minimis extractors. The consultant will work with the County and other stakeholders to develop a metering plan, implement a pilot metering project, and provide recommendations for full-scale program implementation. The scope of work includes tasks such as team development, finalizing metering program goals, developing a metering plan, and implementing a pilot non-de minimis metering project.
• Develop a metering program and facilitate a pilot metering project
• Develop standardized installation, calibration, maintenance, and reporting protocols
• Engage non-de minimis well owners to solicit input regarding how best to meet their farming practices and operational needs
• Provide actionable recommendations for full-scale program design
• Develop a system for reporting extractions
