Description
The Metropolitan Council (Metro Transit) is seeking a vendor to design, develop, host, and maintain a branded online merchandise store for Metro Transit. The contractor will be responsible for the full e‑commerce lifecycle, including UI/UX design, integration with existing Metro systems, security, payment processing, and ongoing support. This is a full‑service web‑store solution that must align with Metro branding and provide a seamless shopping experience for the public.
• Design and build a custom, Metro‑branded e‑commerce website (architecture, UI/UX, product catalog).
• Implement payment processing, inventory management, and integration with any existing Metro systems.
• Provide hosting, security, maintenance, and ongoing technical support for the duration of the contract.
• Ensure compliance with accessibility (Section 508) and state procurement regulations.
• Deliver training and documentation for Metro staff to manage content and orders.
