Description

The City of Greer is seeking a professional consulting firm to develop a comprehensive Safety Action Plan consistent with the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) Program. The plan should establish a data-driven, equitable, and community-informed framework to significantly reduce roadway fatalities and serious injuries for all users. The selected firm will evaluate existing roadway infrastructure, traffic operations, crash history, and systemic risk factors to identify and prioritize safety strategies and projects. The plan will be used to identify priority safety investments, position the City for future SS4A Implementation Grant funding, and guide near-, mid-, and long-term safety improvements. Key aspects of the project include: • Developing a comprehensive Safety Action Plan • Conducting a comprehensive safety analysis • Identifying high-injury networks and systemic risk factors • Analyzing roadway users, speeds, and exposure • Prioritizing locations and strategies • Engaging the public and stakeholders through inclusive, accessible, and meaningful outreach • Incorporating community feedback into project prioritization and strategy development

Budget estimate

$200,000 – $500,000

The dollar amount range that our client might expect to earn if they win the bid and do the job is difficult to estimate, as the document does not provide a specific budget or payment amount. However, considering the scope of the project and the requirements for the Safety Action Plan, a rough estimate could be between $200,000 and $500,000. This estimate is based on the assumption that the project will require significant resources, including personnel, equipment, and software, to develop a comprehensive plan that meets the USDOT's SS4A Program requirements. Factors that may influence the likely payment range include the complexity of the project, the level of expertise required, and the duration of the project.
