Civil Engineering Services: Utility Engineering

The County of Leon, Florida is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide utility engineering services. The selected firms will enter into agreements with the County to provide services on an as-needed basis. The scope of work includes engineering services related to utilities such as water, sewer, natural gas, communications, electric, or other similar utilities. Services may include computer modeling, feasibility studies, service capacity reports, system design, and review of design documents by others, expert witness services, or general assistance to County staff in matters related to utilities. The County anticipates awarding multiple contracts to meet the anticipated need for services. • The agreement period shall be for three years with two optional one-year renewal periods for a possible total of five years. • The distribution of work to the awarded firms shall be at the sole discretion of the Public Works Division of Engineering Services. • The County may initiate an evaluation process to record the performance of services under this contract. • Consultants shall participate cooperatively in all evaluation processes. • The County reserves the right to reject any and/or all proposals, in whole or in part, when such rejection is in the best interest of the County.
