Audit and Consultation Services for Managed Care Cost Containment of the County’s Workers’ Compensation Claims

The County of Orange is seeking a qualified firm to provide audit and consultation services for managed care cost containment of the County's workers' compensation claims. The selected firm will be responsible for providing specialized audit and consultation services, including focused oversight of managed care and cost containment programs, assessing the accuracy of billed charges, and evaluating and improving the effectiveness of managed care services and cost containment programs. The contract will be for a five-year term, with the option for the County to utilize the selected firm on an ancillary basis for on-going consultative services in the managed care area. • The firm must have at least five years of experience providing actuarial services to a California public entity. • The firm must be located in the Los Angeles Metro area or be able to meet at least four times during the development of each actuarial report at the physical location of CEO/Risk Management with no more than a 5-calendar day notice. • The firm must provide a detailed description of its experience and qualifications, including a description of its team and their roles and responsibilities. • The firm must provide a comprehensive outline of its work plan and project approach, including a timeline and milestones. • The firm must demonstrate its understanding of the County's requirements and objectives, and its ability to meet those requirements and achieve those objectives.
