Household Hazardous Waste

The Larimer County Department of Solid Waste is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive services for the transportation, treatment, recycling, and disposal of Household Hazardous Waste (HHW), Very Small Quantity Generator (VSQG) waste, and non-hazardous landfill-banned materials. The contractor will be responsible for providing proper shipping containers, ensuring all transporters have the required permits and licenses, and managing all materials received from the HHW Facility in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations. The contract will be for a term of one year, with the option to extend for up to four additional one-year terms. The contractor must be duly licensed in the state of Colorado to transport hazardous waste and have an EPA Identification Number. Some key points to consider: • The contractor must provide a comprehensive system for profiling all materials received from the Larimer County HHW Facility. • The contractor must ensure that all transporters meet the standards applicable to transporters of hazardous waste as found in state and federal Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. • The contractor must provide proof of licensed and permitted facilities that are to be used by the Contractor for the management of materials received from the HHW Facility. • The contractor must disclose/designate a primary facility for disposal and/or recycle of materials received from the Larimer County HHW Facility.
