Preventative Maintenance and Service Agreement for the Zeiss Axio Scan.Z7

The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) intends to negotiate and award a purchase order without providing for full and open competition to Carl Zeiss Microscopy, LLC for a service maintenance agreement for their Zeiss Axio Scan.Z7. The purpose of this acquisition is to provide routine preventative maintenance for the microscope system, which is utilized routinely by the NIMH Systems Neuroscience Imaging Resource (SNIR) users. The contract will ensure minimal downtime due to hardware and software malfunction and maintain the research equipment in operable condition. The estimated period of performance is 12 months with the option to exercise 3 additional option periods.
