Description
The City of Salem is seeking an electrician of record to perform routine electrical maintenance on an as-needed basis for the Water Division. The contract will be for approximately 800 hours of work, with the possibility of deviations above or below this estimate. The successful bidder must have 5 years of experience with SCADA telemetry and water and wastewater facility electrical installation and repair. The contractor must be licensed and bonded in the State of Oregon and provide a Master Permit for all Water & Wastewater facilities.
Some key requirements of the contract include:
* Providing a 24-hour telephone number for emergency situations
* Being available 24/7/365 for emergency work
* Coordinating work to avoid interference with normal operation of pumping stations, treatment, or storage equipment and processes
* Complying with Oregon Occupational Safety & Health Division (OR-OSHA) laws and regulations for confined spaces
* Providing cost estimates prior to commencement of work
* Submitting daily work sheets and billing invoices with project numbers, hours, and materials used.
