Description

The New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) is seeking proposals for the development of heat recovery projects in existing buildings in New York State. The program aims to increase the deployment of technologies to recover and reuse heat by funding the planning and analysis needed to understand a building's heat recovery opportunity and to design specific heat recovery energy conservation measures. The program provides cost-share for technical assistance to support the inclusion of heat recovery energy conservation measures within existing building retrofits. Eligible projects include the assessment of heat recovery opportunities and the design of cost-effective heat recovery and reuse approaches to reduce total energy usage. Key aspects of the program include: • Eligible buildings must be located in New York State and fall under the classification of multifamily, commercial, industrial, and/or institutional buildings. • The program provides cost-share for technical assistance to support the inclusion of heat recovery energy conservation measures within existing building retrofits. • Proposals will be evaluated based on factors such as the project's potential to reduce energy consumption, the feasibility of the proposed heat recovery solution, and the cost-effectiveness of the project. • The program has a total funding amount of $27,000,000, with a maximum award amount of $2,000,000 per project. • The contract term is up to 2 years.
