Description
The West Virginia Division of Natural Resources - Parks and Recreation Section is soliciting bids to establish a contract for zipline cable repairs at Pipestem State Park located in Pipestem, WV. The project involves full cable replacement of zip lines and belay cables, swapping the existing jacketed cable for ½” super-swage cable, and other general maintenance tasks. The contract will be for a fixed period, and the vendor must provide all necessary materials and equipment to perform the work. The project must be completed within 60 days.
• Replacement of all fist grips on replaced cable
• Reinstallation of existing brake systems
• Calibration and performance testing of zip systems and brakes to confirm speed compliance and functionality
• Backing off platform hardware as needed – all platforms
• Backing off guy eye bolts as needed
• Enlarging platform reveal cuts
• Adjusting guy tensions and making yolks larger
• Replacing guy/zip blocks as needed
