Professional Tree Care Services

The City of Golden is seeking a qualified tree service contractor to provide on-call professional tree care services, including tree trimming, tree removal, and emergency response, at various properties under City management. The services are intended to ensure the health, safety, and aesthetics of City-maintained trees. The contract will be for a 1-year term, with an estimated expenditure of $50,000 to $99,999. The selected vendor will be required to have an ISA-certified arborist on staff and adhere to ANSI Z133 arboricultural operations safety requirements. Some key services include: • Tree Trimming & Pruning: removal of dead or overgrown branches and pruning of trees for safety and appearance • Tree Removal: cutting trees to an elevation of no greater than 8 inches above existing grade • Emergency Services: on-call response to address immediate, unexpected hazards • Debris Cleanup & Disposal: removal and proper disposal of wood, limbs, and related debris • Traffic Control: coordination of traffic control if necessary The City will evaluate proposals based on factors such as qualifications, municipal experience, available equipment, schedule of services, emergency and storm response, professional arboricultural practices, and pricing.
