Description
The Department of Enterprise Services (DES) is seeking a qualified Electrical Engineer for Design Services for the Statewide Communications System Upgrades project. The project aims to modernize the telecommunications infrastructure at multiple Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) facilities across the State of Washington. The scope of work includes design and construction administration services, with a preliminary Maximum Allowable Construction Cost (MACC) of $11,000,000. The selected firm will be required to submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) and may be invited to participate in oral interviews.
• The project involves upgrading telecommunications cabling infrastructure at 13 DSHS locations.
• The selected firm will be responsible for designing and implementing telecommunications and data communications technology systems.
• The firm should have experience in designing secure Wi-Fi systems, Local Area Networks (LANs), and Ethernet-based systems.
• The project is funded for Design and Construction in the 2025-2027 biennium, with additional funds expected in the 2027-2029 biennium.
