DIII Hazard Tree Mitigations (Spring 2026)

The San Mateo County Department of Parks is seeking quotes for Hazardous Tree Mitigation services at Sam McDonald, Memorial County Park, and Pescadero Creek Park. The project includes the mitigation of thirty-one (31) hazard trees, including the pruning of nineteen (19) trees and removal of twelve (12) trees. The work should be completed by May 21st, and the contractor must abide by ANSI Z133 Safety Standards, ANSI A300 Tree Care Standards, and ISA BMP's. • The project requires safely mitigating hazard trees while avoiding surrounding valuable targets. • The contractor must communicate with ranger and Parks staff as requested. • The contractor must be experienced with the pruning and removal of large trees. • The contractor must meet San Mateo County's contractor eligibility requirements, including insurance, prevailing wage, and credential requirements. • The contractor must provide W-9 documentation and proof of COLI insurance. • The contractor must have at least one worker on staff who holds their International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) arborist certification.
