Gwinnett County is soliciting competitive informal written quotes from qualified vendors for the purchase of commemorative America 250th law enforcement badges for the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office. The badges should be constructed of multi-level die-struck metal with a polished gold finish and hard enamel color fill. Each badge should have the following requirements: overall badge dimensions of 2.75 inches wide by 2.75 inches high, multi-level die-struck construction, heavy-duty commemorative quality, polished gold finish, hard enamel color fill, high-relief raised lettering and design elements, protective clear finish to resist scratching and tarnishing, individually manufactured with personalized rank and badge number, and suitable for long-term presentation, display, and commemorative purposes.
• The vendor shall provide a custom commemorative law enforcement badge with a seven-point sheriff's star design, polished gold finish with black hard enamel background on the star, raised decorative scrollwork and filigree incorporated within each point of the star, full-color United States flag displayed behind the sheriff's star, and a circular outer ring surrounding the badge.
• The vendor shall submit an electronic proof with quote submittal and provide a production sample for approval prior to beginning full production.
• The vendor shall certify that items to be furnished are new and that the quality has not deteriorated to impair its usefulness.
• The vendor shall provide a minimum of three references where work of a similar size and scope has been completed.
