On-Call General Contractor Services

The City of San Mateo is seeking a qualified general contractor to provide on-call general contractor services for Public Works Facilities projects through June 2028. The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, materials, equipment, tools, and supervision necessary for the service, repair, maintenance, replacement, installation, and/or upgrade of building systems in all municipal buildings as needed. The contractor must have a capable and demonstrable background in the type of work described in the request for proposal and must be a registered business in California with ample facilities, accounts, and equipment required of a qualified general contractor. Some key responsibilities include: • Providing on-call general contractor services for Public Works Facilities projects • Maintaining clean and safe working conditions at all times • Keeping areas free from debris, machine parts, tools, etc. • Protecting the owner's property from damage, injury or loss arising in connection with this contract • Having all employees working in the City of San Mateo undergo a Live Scan Fingerprinting check before performing any work • Having proper safety devices maintained at all times while in use The City of San Mateo intends to pre-select a minimum of three qualified General Contractors to provide these services.
