Description
The Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) is requesting bids for the procurement and installation of a 50-ton HVAC unit, including start-up and training, at the Hutchins Unit in Dallas, Texas. The successful bidder will be responsible for dismantling, decommissioning, and disposing of the existing AHU and associated ducting and accessories, as well as supplying and installing the new HVAC unit. The contract will include a manufacturer's standard warranty for the equipment, and the vendor must provide materials for routine repairs and respond within four hours for the warranty period.
• The HVAC unit must be sized to fit the existing concrete slab.
• The vendor must provide crane/lift services and install a new Y-type strainer, condensate drain, and transition duct gauge 26.
• The vendor must also install an I-wave for every 4800 CFM capacity on the supply duct side and a smoke detector in the supply and return duct.
• The contract will include a site visit, and registration for the site visit is mandatory.
• The deadline for questions is November 14, 2025, at 10:00 AM (CST), and the submission deadline is December 1, 2025, at 3:00 PM.
