Description
The Alabama Department of Mental Health seeks a qualified contractor to provide comprehensive HVAC system maintenance, repair, and installation services for the Taylor Hardin Secured Medical Facility in Tuscaloosa. The scope includes preventive‑maintenance on a large inventory of air‑handling units, rooftop units, VAV terminals, exhaust fans, water heaters, and related components, as well as emergency response, parts inventory, consumables, and technician training over a 24‑month base contract with possible extensions. The award will be made to the lowest responsible bidder that meets all technical and insurance requirements.
• Full‑service preventive and corrective maintenance for ~350 HVAC items (AHUs, RTUs, VAVs, fan‑coils, exhaust fans, water heaters, etc.)
• Required monthly, quarterly, semi‑annual, and annual inspections plus emergency call‑back response within 1½ hours
• Mandatory site visit on 10/19/26; vendor must submit proof of insurance, E‑Verify documentation, and evidence of five‑year HVAC experience with qualified technicians
