Description
The City of Lynchburg is seeking bids for the demolition and reconstruction of a 300 square foot dry stacked stone retaining wall located at 515 13th Street in Lynchburg, VA. The wall varies in height with a maximum height of approximately five feet from finished grade on the exposed side of the wall. The contractor must rebuild the wall in accordance with the project drawings, typical wall sections, and City of Lynchburg Manual of Specifications. The project requires the demolition of the existing wall and the reconstruction of a new wall using materials and labor that meet the specifications outlined in the contract documents.
• The project includes the removal and replacement of unsuitable stones in the wall and the removal and replacement of unsuitable capstones on top of the wall.
• The contractor must ensure that all work is performed in accordance with the contract documents and that all materials and equipment used meet the specified requirements.
• The contractor must also ensure that all work is completed within the specified timeframe and that all necessary permits and approvals are obtained.
• The city reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding process.
