Description

The City of Saco is seeking a qualified vendor to supply, install, test, and commission two horizontal, solid‑bowl, scroll‑type dewatering centrifuges at its Water Resource Recovery Facility, along with on‑site field services, spare parts, and a supply bond equal to the contract amount. The scope includes full equipment delivery, shop‑testing, verification of installation per Specification § 11363, operator training, and provision of all required submittals and close‑out documentation. This is a CWSRF‑funded project, requiring compliance with Davis‑Bacon prevailing‑wage and American Iron & Steel (AIS) requirements, and the materials are exempt from Maine sales and compensating‑use taxes. • Supply and install two high‑capacity dewatering centrifuge units (horizontal, solid‑bowl, scroll type). • Provide factory‑trained field services for inspection, commissioning, start‑up, and operator training. • Deliver all required submittals, spare parts, and close‑out documentation; furnish a supply bond equal to the full agreement amount. • Must meet Davis‑Bacon prevailing‑wage rates and SRF AIS material requirements.

Budget estimate

$500,000 – $1,500,000

Based on comparable municipal dewatering centrifuge projects, the contract is likely to fall in the mid‑hundreds of thousands to low‑single‑digit millions range. A two‑unit supply, installation, testing, and commissioning effort, plus field services and spare‑parts support, typically costs between $500,000 and $1,500,000, depending on equipment specifications, labor rates, and bond requirements.
