Engineering support for EXoplanet Climate Infrared TElescope mission

The NASA/NSSC is seeking engineering support for the EXoplanet Climate Infrared TElescope (EXCITE) mission. The contractor will provide laboratory instrumentation, hardware integration, and operational support, including design and implementation of custom laboratory instrumentation, high-throughput analysis solutions, and testing and training. The required skills and knowledge include expertise in readout and control of HgCdTe detectors, ACADIA controllers, and MACIE detector electronics, as well as experience with suborbital instrumentation deployment. The key responsibilities of the contractor will include: • Designing and implementing custom laboratory instrumentation for testing and analyzing HgCdTe detector systems • Providing high-throughput, real-time analysis solutions and off-line data reduction procedures • Integrating ancillary data sources and equipment and providing equipment synchronization solutions • Providing testing, training, and laboratory operational support • Supporting an instrument deployment field campaign • Documenting system design and maintaining version control
