Canon ProStream Press Installation Design Build

The Government Publishing Office (GPO) is seeking a design-build contractor to install a new Canon ProStream 2133 Printing Press at their main campus in Washington, D.C. The contractor will be responsible for performing A/E design services and construction services to make the building compatible with the press. The project includes tasks such as site survey, demolition, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and structural work. The contractor must provide a certified Construction/Project Manager to oversee the project and ensure quality control. The project must be completed within 180 days from the notice to proceed. • The contractor will be responsible for designing and installing an exhaust system for the press. • The contractor will be responsible for designing and installing a piping system from the Xtend 2800 to the Canon ProStream press. • The contractor will be responsible for providing craning and rigging of the Xtend 2800. • The contractor will be responsible for supporting OEM startup. • The contractor will be responsible for providing a rough order of magnitude (ROM) cost estimate for all Xtend location options. • The contractor will be responsible for providing an itemized cost estimate at the 95% submission milestone.
