Description
The Lowell Housing Authority is seeking bids from qualified contractors for on-call carpet replacement services. The contractor will be responsible for removing and replacing carpeting in various locations as directed by LHA personnel. The contract will be for a year, and the contractor must be able to perform the work on an as-needed basis. The typical carpet projects consist of removing 9x9 or 12x12 existing carpeting in one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, with an average working square footage of 500 to 700 sq ft.
• The contractor must have adequate financial resources to perform the contract.
• The contractor must have a satisfactory performance record.
• The contractor must have a satisfactory record of integrity and business ethics.
• The contractor must have a satisfactory record of compliance with public policy.
• The contractor must not have been suspended, debarred, or otherwise determined to be ineligible for award of contracts by the Department of Housing and Urban Development or any other agency of the U.S. Government.
