Household Hazardous Waste Collection Services

The Boone County Public Works Solid Waste Department is seeking bids from qualified vendors to provide Household Hazardous Waste Collection Services at the Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event on November 7th, 2026. The event will be held at the Thomas More Stadium in Florence, KY, and will accept various household hazardous waste items. The contractor will be responsible for the final classification, packaging, transportation, and proper recycling and disposal of received HHW. The contractor must follow all OSHA guidelines, local, state, and federal laws, and provide properly trained personnel. • The event accepts various household hazardous waste items, including miscellaneous chemicals, mercury, poisons, batteries, aerosols, and more. • The contractor must supply their own staffing, equipment, storage/collection containers, safety equipment/supplies, trucking, and absorbent/packing material. • The contractor must follow all OSHA guidelines, local, state, and federal laws. • The contractor must provide properly trained personnel and operate all equipment in a safe manner.
