Intent to Award Sole/Single Source - Zeiss Xradia Versa Equipment Upgrade and Services

The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) is seeking to upgrade the Zeiss Xradia Versa system to support a classified project. The upgrade includes a Flat Panel Extension, a 40X Prime Objective Ultra-High Resolution assembly kit, an XRM High-Performance Workstation, and software to support gathering classified data. The contractor will also provide installation and operator training on the new components and software, as well as a one-year service agreement to ensure the system operates within normal limits. • The Zeiss Xradia Versa system is a high-resolution 3D X-ray microscope engineered for non-destructive, submicron-level imaging of materials and components. • The upgrade is necessary to accommodate X-raying larger test objects and achieve higher fidelity. • The contractor must provide a dedicated XRM workstation to isolate classified datasets and prevent the baseline microscopy equipment from becoming classified.
