Description
The Town of Needham is seeking qualified engineering and design firms to conduct a feasibility study and provide design services for the replacement of two rooftop HVAC units (RTUs) and the associated roof section at Needham High School. The effort is divided into three phases: Phase I (Schematic Design & options study, capped at $150,000), Phase II (Design Development & Construction Documents), and Phase III (Construction Administration and warranty review). The selected firm will lead a multidisciplinary team (mechanical, architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, acoustical, and cost estimating) and must deliver two schematic design options, cost estimates, code reviews, and a life‑cycle cost analysis. The study must be completed by February 2027, with a briefing session on September 3 2026 and a submission deadline of October 1 2026.
