Insurance Broker Services

The San Diego Housing Commission is seeking proposals from qualified insurance brokers to provide comprehensive insurance brokerage services. The selected broker will assist SDHC in managing its insurance needs, ensuring proper risk management, and securing cost-effective insurance coverage. The scope of services includes insurance program review, analysis, and risk management advisory services, insurance placement and renewal, claims management and support, reporting and documentation, and certificates of insurance. The contract term will be one year plus four one-year options. • The broker will develop and implement a strategic insurance and risk management program. • The broker will evaluate and recommend appropriate insurance coverages for SDHC. • The broker will negotiate favorable terms and conditions for insurance policies. • The broker will provide ongoing support and advisory services to SDHC on insurance-related matters. • The broker will assist in the development and implementation of risk management strategies and policies. • The broker will conduct risk assessments and identify potential areas of exposure. • The broker will recommend risk mitigation measures and best practices. • The broker will provide training and education to SDHC staff on risk management and insurance-related topics.
