Description
The California Air Resources Board (CARB) is seeking qualified small‑business movers to provide comprehensive office moving, furniture re‑configuration, modular systems installation, and storage services at CARB facilities throughout California. The contractor must supply all labor, vehicles, equipment, and supplies, adhere to strict prevailing‑wage and insurance requirements, and be able to respond to on‑call or emergency moves. The contract is a 12‑month, best‑value award with a maximum anticipated value of $250 K and possible one‑year renewal.
• Services include bobtail, small‑box, and pick‑up truck moves, as well as semi‑truck/trailer handling using CARB‑owned equipment.
• Modular systems furniture (Haworth, CALCTRA, All‑Steel) installation, disassembly, and relocation are required, along with provision of crates, padding, and protective equipment.
• Contractor must maintain a primary business location within 50 mi of CARB headquarters, hold a C‑61/D‑34 contractor license (or use a qualified subcontractor), and submit three references demonstrating ≥ 5 years of moving experience.
• All work must be performed 7 am‑6 pm Mon‑Fri, with overtime rates applied for after‑hours work; first 48 hours of storage are free, additional storage billed per rate sheet.
