Description
This public‑works project involves relocating four portable classroom units, installing new utility connections, and upgrading the parking lot at River Ridge Elementary School (3500 Tamarack Dr., Redding, CA). The contractor will provide site preparation, foundation work, utility installation (water, sewer, electrical, data/communications), portable building anchorage, and associated civil improvements such as asphalt paving, striping, curbs, and fencing. The work must comply with California prevailing‑wage rules, DSA regulations, and include performance and payment bonds, insurance, and a $250 k owner‑controlled allowance.
• Relocate and reinstall four 24 × 40 ft portable classrooms, including new wood foundations, skirting, and carpet reseaming.
• Install site utilities (water, sewer, electrical distribution, low‑voltage data/communication, fire‑alarm) and perform utility relocations.
• Perform parking‑lot improvements: Type 1 slurry seal, aggregate base, curbing, striping, and perimeter fencing.
• Meet mandatory pre‑bid site visit (April 28 2026), submit a 10 % bid bond, and provide 100 % performance/payment bonds and required insurance.
