E-WASTE RECYCLING SERVICES

The County of Orange is seeking a contractor to provide E-waste recycling services, including handling, transportation, data destruction, disposal, and recycling of electronic waste. The contractor will be responsible for providing secure storage facilities, managing E-waste to the "highest and best use" with minimal disposal, and performing data destruction of all hard drives and electronics containing sensitive information. The contractor must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and codes. • The contractor must have a minimum of five years of experience providing E-waste recycling and data destruction services. • The contractor must maintain approval as a CalRecycle-certified Recycler and have e-Stewards and/or R2 certification. • The contractor must provide pickup services within five business days of notification and provide a receiving report within 48 hours of each pickup or service request. • The contractor must test all non-recycled waste materials to ensure that all hazardous substances are disposed of in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
