Zero Emissions Initiatives Phase 1

The project involves the installation of 17 new electric vehicle charging stations to support Electric Ground Support Equipment (eGSE) operations at Ontario International Airport. The work will be performed at Terminal 2 and Terminal 4 apron areas, as well as within existing and new electrical rooms located throughout both terminal buildings. The successful vendor will be responsible for providing construction services necessary to install eGSE charging equipment and infrastructure, including power servers, power stations, charging cables, and cable management systems. Some key features of the project include: • Installation of eGSE charging equipment and infrastructure • Electrical power distribution, including panelboards, circuit breakers, feeders, branch circuits, disconnect switches, and associated conduits and wiring • Installation of equipment pads, protective bollards, pavement marking and striping for designated charging equipment areas and associated site work • Coordination with civil and airport operational requirements for equipment locations and routing of underground conduits • Verification of existing electrical system capacity and integration with existing electrical infrastructure • Provision of grounding, bonding, surge protection, and safety devices in accordance with applicable codes and manufacturer requirements • Startup, commissioning, and functional testing of the charging equipment • Preparation of as-built documentation and operation manuals for the installed system
