RFP 2025-16 Bus Driving Simulator

The Mass Transportation Authority (MTA) is seeking a vendor to manufacture, supply, deliver, install, test, commission, provide training, documentation, warranty, and ongoing maintenance of Transit Bus Simulator Systems. The simulator system should replicate the operation of a Transit Bus and Para-transit vehicle, and provide a realistic training environment for drivers. The system should include features such as a high-end simulator system, customized driver cab, situational response simulator, motion system, steering, and audio system. The vendor should also provide a user-friendly software program to allow instructors to develop customized training exercises. • The simulator system should be able to replicate the MTA Flint vehicle types and provide realistic interaction with the simulated training environment. • The system should include an integrated situational response simulator for use by trainees. • The system should provide a real-world training catalog of scenarios to load onto the simulator. • The system should allow for an unlimited number of training exercises to be developed and saved. • The system should provide a database capable of storing a minimum of 1000 individual trainee records.
