Medical Supplies and Assistive Devices

Luzerne County is seeking bids for Medical Supplies and Assistive Devices for the Luzerne/Wyoming Counties Area Agency on Aging. The contract will be for one year with a possible one-year extension at the County's discretion. The successful bidder will be required to provide medical supplies and assistive devices, including disposable underpads, bladder control pads, adult diapers, and lift chairs. The bidder must be a recognized dealer in the materials/services specified and qualified to advise in its application or use. The bidder must also be able to deliver the supplies within five days for routine requests and have the capability of emergency delivery when needed. Some key points to note are: • No deliveries to be made to Luzerne/Wyoming Counties Area Agency on Aging. • Delivery must be made directly to the consumer, not shipped. • Delivery coverage must include all Luzerne/Wyoming counties. • The bidder must be willing to accommodate the agency's needs for specific information on billing forms. • The bidder must be able to make returns, exchanges, and additions as needed. • Medical supplies must be delivered inside the consumer's home.
