Request for Proposals for Medium Voltage Transformer Drain and Flush

The City of Fresno is soliciting proposals for the pump out and rinse of eight (8) oil filled transformers at the Regional Wastewater Reclamation Facility. The service provider will evacuate all oil, approximately 1,650 gallons, from these eight (8) transformers and dispose of accordingly. These transformers will also be triple rinsed to eliminate any trace elements of oil in preparation for disposal of these transformers. The service provider is responsible for the containment and disposal of all wash water. • The Regional Wastewater Reclamation Facility has eight (8) oil filled transformers, (7) 112.5 KVA and (1) 225 KVA. • These transformers contain trace elements of PCBs. • The service provider will evacuate all oil, approximately 1,650 gallons, from these eight (8) transformers and dispose of accordingly. • These transformers will also be triple rinsed to eliminate any trace elements of oil in preparation for disposal of these transformers. • The service provider is responsible for the containment and disposal of all wash water.
