Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking information on contractors that can provide Thyroid Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) system equipment for the treatment of benign thyroid nodules and microcarcinomas. The system should allow for minimally invasive, ultrasound-guided ablation of thyroid tissue and have sufficient technical features such as impedance control, thyroid-specific electrode dimensions, and thermal safety mechanisms. Interested contractors must respond by email with documentation on their capability to provide the requested equipment, including product specifications and literature.
• The system must be indicated specifically for thyroid ablation and have FDA clearance for use in thyroid radiofrequency ablation.
• The system will be used by endocrine and general surgeons as part of a growing in-house thyroid ablation program to improve Veteran access to specialty care.
• Contractors must have a current registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) at https://sam.gov/.
• SDVOSB and VOSB firms should be registered and certified at the time of quote submission at https://search.certifications.sba.gov/.
