Sole Source Purchase for Legal Services for Litigation

The State of New Mexico intends to make a sole source purchase for legal services for an existing litigation. The purpose of this notice is to attempt to identify possible alternatives. The contractor, Murray & Di Bella, LLP, has been representing the Agency since early 2025 and has developed an understanding of the facts and legal issues which cannot be duplicated by any other contractor. The contract term is to be extended through May 31, 2026, and additional funding is to be added for the litigation. The key services to be provided include legal representation in the First Judicial District Court matter entitled New Mexico Office of Superintendent of Insurance v. State Farm and Casualty Company.
