OPW 55131: Compost Relocation - Phase 2

The City of Omaha is seeking bids for the construction of a Compost Operations building, scale, utilities, and site paving as part of the Compost Relocation - Phase II project. The project involves the construction of a new Oma-Gro building, truck scale, and septage receiving station, as well as site improvements, demolition, and removal of temporary composting operations facilities. The project requires the submission of an Economic Sustainability Plan (ESP) and the contractor must attach an Apprenticeship Incentive Form with their bid submission. The City of Omaha reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any or all bids. Key aspects of the project include: • Construction of a new Compost Operations building • Installation of a truck scale and septage receiving station • Site improvements, including grading, construction of aggregate work area, site paving, sanitary sewer piping, and manholes • Demolition and removal of temporary composting operations facilities • Coordination with a pre-selected compost bagging equipment installer • Submission of an Economic Sustainability Plan (ESP) and an Apprenticeship Incentive Form The project requires a bid bond, and the successful bidder will be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds.
