SB1383-ELIGIBLE MULCH PROCUREMENT AND APPLICATION

The City of Livermore is requesting proposals for the procurement, transport, delivery, and application of SB 1383-eligible mulch on approximately 32 acres of City property near the Livermore Airport. The contract is expected to be for four years, with the option to extend for up to three more years. The mulch must meet specific standards for physical contamination, maximum metal concentration, and pathogen density. Bidders must provide information on the mulch vendor, price per cubic yard, and receipts showing the producer name, location, and contact information. • The City requests ongoing delivery of mulch to limit large stockpiles at the location. • The preferred time of delivery and spreading is late summer and early fall. • Mulch application and spreading operations must minimize dust generation to avoid disruptions to flight operations and nearby businesses. • The annual amount of mulch to be delivered and applied is listed in the table titled “SB 1383 Procurement Timeline and Targets”.
