Description

The U.S. Government's data science portfolio is rapidly expanding its reliance on large-scale AI workloads. To sustain this growth and maintain a strategic edge, the program requires cutting-edge GPU acceleration. The objective of this Assessment Event is to acquire, deliver, and install/deploy advanced GPU hardware that will add a high-bandwidth, energy-efficient GPU capability. The solution must be a complete, rack-mounted server suitable for immediate deployment in a data center at a remote site. Key requirements include high-speed Peripheral Component Interconnect express-based network connectivity, pre-installed storage and memory subsystems, and the ability to quickly install necessary software. * The system will support large language model workloads for up to 100+ concurrent users. * The server must include all necessary hardware to operate the GPUs safely and efficiently. * The solution must support deployment to two networks, within air-gapped or otherwise strictly isolated environments. * The server(s) and all GPUs shall be physically and logically isolated from each other, and any non-approved networks. * Vendors must provide a turnkey solution that minimizes on-site assembly, configuration, and troubleshooting.

Budget estimate

$500,000 – $5,000,000

The budget amount for this opportunity is difficult to estimate, as the document does not provide a specific budget or contract value. However, considering the complexity and scope of the project, which involves acquiring and deploying advanced GPU hardware for large-scale AI workloads, the estimated budget could be in the range of $500,000 to $5,000,000. This estimate is based on the assumption that the project requires a significant amount of hardware, software, and labor to design, deploy, and maintain the system. Factors that may influence the likely payment range include the number of servers and GPUs required, the level of customization and integration needed, and the duration of the contract.
