Consulting Services For Housing and Community Development

Mecklenburg County is seeking a consultant to provide departmental development and strategic implementation consulting services for the Office of Housing and Community Development (OHCD). The consultant will assist in establishing a new OHCD to strengthen coordination, improve operational alignment, and enhance the delivery of housing and community development initiatives across the organization. The scope of work includes evaluating the current organizational environment, developing recommendations for department structure and leadership, staffing and operational alignment, strategic planning and implementation, program administration and workflow design, interdepartmental coordination, community engagement, funding and grant alignment, and long-term operational sustainability. The consultant will provide a comprehensive organizational development and implementation approach, including a detailed project plan, timelines, and milestones. • Key aspects of the project include: • Evaluating the current organizational environment and developing recommendations for improvement • Developing a comprehensive organizational development and implementation approach • Providing strategic, organizational, operational, and implementation recommendations • Assisting in the creation of a new OHCD to strengthen coordination and improve operational alignment • Enhancing the delivery of housing and community development initiatives across the organization
