H999--Laser Safety Officer

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Laser Safety Officer to provide services at the Eastern Colorado VA Healthcare System. The contract will have a base year and four option years. The Laser Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring the safe use of lasers in the healthcare system. The contractor must have a current BLS certification as a Certified Medical Laser Safety Officer (CMLSO) and knowledge and abilities to independently function as LSO. * Key responsibilities include: + Providing laser safety training to healthcare personnel + Conducting regular inspections of laser equipment + Developing and implementing laser safety policies and procedures + Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements + Providing technical expertise on laser safety matters * The contractor must also have excellent communication skills and be able to effectively communicate with healthcare and administrative personnel.
