Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a qualified Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) to provide on‑site radiation‑safety management for three VA facilities in eastern Oklahoma. The contractor will oversee daily radiation operations, conduct surveys, manage badge programs, lead the Radiation Safety Committee, perform quarterly audits and hot‑lab dose calibrations, and respond to emergencies within two hours. The award is a fixed‑price contract with a base year (Dec 2026 – Nov 2027) and up to four one‑year options, totaling a possible five‑year term.
• Provide RSO services at Jack C. Montgomery VA Medical Center (Muskogee) and two outpatient clinics in Tulsa.
• Perform daily/weekly surveys, quarterly equipment QA, 16 hours per year of audits/calibrations, and maintain compliance with VHA directives and 10 CFR 35 regulations.
• Submit required reports (dosimetry, incident, committee minutes) on strict timelines and be on‑site within 2 hours for any radiation incident.
