140-day Special Time Charter

The U.S. Navy is seeking a U.S. flagged, Jones Act, ocean-going certified tug capable of towing a U.S. naval vessel. The vessel will serve as a contingency towing vessel in the Caribbean Sea and remain able to respond to a vessel casualty and take it under tow as required within 48 hours of notification. The vessel will remain at anchor or in-port within response range until needed. The place of contract performance is Key West, Florida, and the charter period is about 140 days. • The vessel must be U.S. flagged and Jones Act compliant. • The vessel must be ocean-going certified and capable of towing a U.S. naval vessel. • The vessel must be able to respond to a vessel casualty and take it under tow as required within 48 hours of notification. • The vessel will remain at anchor or in-port within response range until needed. • The place of contract performance is Key West, Florida. • The charter period is about 140 days.
