S205--General Waste Disposal Contract - Indianapolis

The Indianapolis Veteran Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) is seeking a qualified contractor to collect and dispose of recycled aluminum, glass, plastic, and cardboard. The contractor will also be responsible for providing and maintaining all equipment, containers, and compactors. The contract will have a base year and four one-year option periods, to be exercised at the Government's discretion. The contractor will be required to provide all material, labor, transportation, equipment, service compactors, and supervision for waste collection and disposal. The contractor will also be responsible for providing maintenance and repair on containers and compactors. • The contractor shall provide stationary compactors with lock installation with steel shroud over compactors meeting the specified requirements. • The contractor shall provide documentation on the weight of any refuse being removed from the facility and documentation of the equivalent weight of refuse delivered to the landfill and/or incinerator. • The contractor shall provide copies of all MSDS Forms to EMS for all chemical products used on-site by the contractor. • The contractor shall comply with the Hospital and Safety Regulations and with the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970. • The contractor shall provide invoices with weight slips for all recyclable items and the credit received.
