Description
The Village of Oak Park is seeking an insurance contractor to provide consulting services for excess public entity liability, excess worker's compensation, excess auto liability, property and casualty, cyber liability, and crime insurance. The contractor will be responsible for researching and evaluating the insurance marketplace, providing annual policy renewals, and making recommendations for coverage. The contract term is for three years, and the selected contractor must provide a thorough renewal presentation each year prior to policy renewal. Some key services include: designing specifications for the insurance program, marketing the program for coverage, analyzing proposals from insurance companies, negotiating changes, and verifying the reasonableness of prices. The contractor must also provide risk management consulting services, including identifying and evaluating potential risks, and making recommendations for reducing loss.
• The contractor must have experience working with public agencies and be familiar with the public risk market in Cook County, Illinois.
• The contractor must be able to provide a team of experienced professionals, including an account manager, to work with the Village.
• The contractor must be able to provide a detailed cost proposal, including all fees and expenses.
• The contractor must be able to provide references from previous clients, including municipalities.
• The contractor must be able to provide a written acknowledgement of the acceptance of the contracting requirements set forth in the RFP.
