Phase 1 Archaeological Survey

The Town of Smithfield seeks qualified Cultural Resources Management consultants to perform a Phase 1 Archaeological Survey of an approximately 60‑acre property formerly known as Pierceville and The Grange at 10 Main. The survey will identify any historic or prehistoric resources, assess eligibility for the National Register of Historic Places, and provide recommendations for mitigation. • Scope: Field reconnaissance, systematic surface testing, subsurface testing (if required), documentation of findings, and a Phase 1 report. • Deliverables: Detailed field notes, GIS maps of identified resources, photogrammetric records, and a final written report meeting state historic preservation standards. • Requirements: Demonstrated experience with archaeological surveys, familiarity with local historic preservation guidelines, and appropriate licensing/certifications.
