Service Maintenance and Support for Siemens 7T Magnetom Terra X MRI Scanner and Chiller

The National Institutes of Health, Office of Logistics and Operations (OLAO) intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc. for the service maintenance and support of a Siemens 7T MAGNETOM Terra X MRI scanner and its associated system chiller. The contract will be a firm-fixed price, base plus 4 option-year type contract. The goal of this procurement is to obtain a comprehensive service contract covering preventive maintenance, routine upgrades, and remedial service for the MRI scanner and chiller. The contractor will provide on-site maintenance and repair service, including planned preventive maintenance inspections, emergency or per-call repair services, and testing instruments and supplies. The contractor must have access to proprietary parts and test instrumentation for effective repair and must provide 24/7 telephone and/or internet access to technical support personnel. • The contract will cover the MRI scanner and chiller located at Medstar Harbor Hospital in Baltimore, MD. • The contractor must have OEM-certified and factory-trained technicians for the MRI scanner and chiller. • The contractor must provide remote proactive monitoring of the subject instrumentation via an authorized network connection. • The contractor must ensure minimal downtime for the MRI scanner and maintain FDA certification for scanning human subjects.
