Government leasing land for Solar Array

The Town of Royalston is soliciting proposals for the lease of land to design, permit, finance, construct, own, operate, and maintain a ground-mounted solar photovoltaic system. The available land is approximately 60 acres, located on a 78-acre parcel. The town does not intend to own or operate the system. • The proposal should include the design, permitting, financing, construction, ownership, operation, and maintenance of the solar facility. • The town has planned upgrades to the distribution lines and substation, which are expected to be completed in 2028. • The landfill on the 78-acre parcel is not excluded from the project, but the town has limited the project to 60 acres. • The town is looking for a qualified party to enter into a lease agreement for the purpose of constructing and maintaining a solar facility.
