Budget estimate

$8,000,000 – $20,000,000

The contract is for a state‑of‑the‑art 7‑Tesla MRI system plus extensive turn‑key services. Similar ultra‑high‑field MRI procurements for research institutions typically range from $8 million to $20 million depending on configuration, optional accessories, and service scope. Given the requirement for a dedicated gradient subsystem, on‑site training, software source code, and a 24‑month warranty, a reasonable estimate is $8‑20 million. Factors influencing the final amount include the chosen vendor (brand‑name vs. equal), optional performance upgrades, and the cost of site‑specific construction modifications.
